From our move from Rosarito to La Misión in July to the grand opening of Calvary Chapel Rancho Libertad, this summer has been so exciting!
This past year, while we were still living in Rosarito, Jeff had dedicated 2 days each week to teach and disciple men who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse through a ministry in La Misión called Rancho Libertad. In May, the last month of Jeff’s church planting class, Pastor Rob Lortz approached him and invited our family to be apart of a new vision he had for the ministry and the community, a Calvary Chapel church plant. Jeff graduated from his class in May and by July we were moved into our new home in La Misión, just in time to see this vision become a reality at Calvary Chapel Rancho Libertad’s grand opening service.
Since then, the church has been reaching out to this small farming community by buying and giving away locally grown produce and on Saturdays our sanctuary serves as the best and only movie theatre in La Misión, complete with free popcorn and treats. Through these outreaches we have been able to build relationship and now more than 75 people are joining us to worship and study the bible verse-by-verse at our Sunday and Wednesday services.
Thank you for being faithful to the work God is doing here in La Misión. None of this would be possible without your prayer and support so we extend our gratitude and so much love!
